Privacy policy

Last updated 17 July 2026.

This policy explains how Kernow Septic ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you submit an enquiry, use one of our tools, or call us. We are the data controller for the information you provide.

What we collect

  • Enquiry details you give us through a form or tool โ€” your name, phone number, email, postcode, and details about your drainage system and enquiry.
  • Tool answers โ€” the answers you give our compliance checker, cost calculator or emptying diagnostic, so we can advise you accurately.
  • Phone calls โ€” if you call our number, the call may be recorded and transcribed for quality and to capture the details of your enquiry. You'll be told at the start of the call.
  • Website analytics โ€” we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and does not use cookies or track you across sites.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

We process your enquiry details on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box and submitting the form, or by calling us about your enquiry. We use the information solely to:

  • respond to your enquiry and arrange the work you've asked about;
  • give you accurate advice and a quote.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. To deliver the service we use a small number of trusted processors โ€” for example, our lead-management system and our call-handling provider โ€” who process data on our instructions. In future, if we arrange for an approved local operator to carry out work for you, we will pass on the details needed to do so; we will make that clear at the time.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, after which it is deleted. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see below).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to withdraw consent at any time, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise any of these, email paul@tinderfields.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
